The Lannore Awards honour independent films published on Lannore. These rules
apply to every Award season. Each season also has season rules, published on
its Award page before entries open, which state the dates, the countries in
which the season is open, the categories, the prize fund and any additional
eligibility requirements. Where the season rules differ from these rules, the
season rules prevail. The Terms of Use and, for entrants, the Creator Terms
apply in addition.

## 1. Nature of the Awards

1.1 The Awards are a competition in which a jury and the audience assess the
artistic merit of films. Winners are decided by assessment and votes, not by
chance. The Awards are not a lottery, sweepstake or game of chance.

1.2 Entering a film and voting are free of charge. No purchase is required to
enter. Voting requires watching the film (section 4.2); a film that is
available on Lannore only against payment can be voted for by those who have
access to it, but voters do not win anything.

1.3 A season is open only in the countries named in its season rules. It is
not open where the law prohibits it or where Lannore is not offered (Terms of
Use, section 1.5). Where local law requires a registration, a deposit or
another formality for a prize competition, the season opens there only once
we have completed it.

## 2. Timetable

2.1 Each season has an entry period, an audience voting period, a jury period
and a date on which the results are expected to be published. The exact dates
and times (in UTC) are shown on the Award page. Entries and votes received
outside these periods are not considered. The time recorded by our servers is
decisive.

2.2 A season opens only once its entire prize fund has been set aside in full
(section 6.1).

## 3. Entries

3.1 A film can be entered by the creator profile that published it on Lannore.
The film must have been accepted and published on Lannore when it is entered,
and must remain available on Lannore until the results are published. Each
film can be entered once per season. The season rules may set further
requirements, for example a release period, a maximum running time for Best
Short, or a first feature or first film for Best Debut.

3.2 By entering, you confirm that you hold the rights needed for the film to be
shown and voted on during the season in the countries in which the season is
open, and you agree that we may use the title, credits, stills, poster and
trailer of the film, the names of its creators and the result to announce,
present and document the Awards, including after the season and in archived
form.

3.3 Our team checks every entry for eligibility. Until it has confirmed
eligibility, the film cannot be voted for. We may exclude an entry that does
not meet these rules, the season rules, the Creator Terms or the Community
Guidelines; we tell you the reason.

3.4 You can withdraw an entry until the voting period begins by writing to
contact@agimetis.com. If a film is
withdrawn from Lannore or loses its eligibility later, the entry is excluded
and its votes do not count.

3.5 Members of the jury, partners and employees of Lannore, and their close
relatives cannot enter films, and films in which they were materially involved
cannot enter.

## 4. Audience vote

4.1 Every member who has a verified account, whose country stated in the
account is one in which the season is open, and who is at least 18 years old
can vote.

4.2 To vote for a film, you must have watched at least 50 percent of it on
Lannore during the voting period, as measured by our servers. You have one
vote per audience category. A vote cannot be changed once it has been cast.

4.3 Votes must be your own, free decision. It is prohibited to buy, sell or
trade votes, to offer or accept anything of value for a vote, to use more than
one account, automated or manipulated viewing, or other ways of influencing
the result unfairly. Creators may invite their audience to watch and vote, but
may not offer anything in return for a vote.

4.4 We check votes and watch time for fraud. A vote connected with viewing
that our fraud checks flag is held for review and counts only if the review
clears it. We may exclude votes and, in serious cases, entries that benefit
from manipulation, even if the creator did not cause it, where the
manipulation cannot otherwise be neutralised. You can appeal the exclusion of
your vote in the app; a different member of our team decides on the appeal.

4.5 Your vote is stored under a pseudonym. The link between your vote and your
account is deleted at the latest 12 months after the results are published or
the season is cancelled (Privacy Policy). We publish only totals and results,
never who voted for which film.

## 5. Jury

5.1 The jury categories are decided by a jury that we appoint. We may publish
the names of the jurors.

5.2 Jurors must declare conflicts of interest. A juror does not score a film
in which they were involved, or whose creators are close relatives, business
partners or close friends of theirs. Observers attend without scoring.

5.3 Each juror scores the eligible films independently. A film's jury score is
the average of the scores it received from jurors who were allowed to score
it.

## 6. Prize fund, results and prizes

6.1 The season rules state the prize fund and its currency. The prize fund is
financed by Lannore in full before the season opens and does not depend on
entries, votes or sales. Each category
receives the share of the fund stated in the season rules; unless they say
otherwise, each of the five categories (Grand Jury Prize, Audience Award, Best
Director, Best Debut, Best Short) receives 20 percent. Purchases,
subscriptions, sponsorship and Creator Pro have no influence on votes, jury
scores or results.

6.2 In audience categories the film with the most valid votes wins; in jury
categories the film with the highest jury score wins. If two or more films are
tied, the film that was entered earlier wins.

6.3 Results are calculated automatically from the valid votes and scores.
Before publication, three members of our team check them independently of
each other. If no eligible film received
a valid vote or score in a category, or the result in a category cannot be
determined in accordance with these rules, no prize is awarded in that
category, and its share of the fund is released.

6.4 Within the scope of these rules, the decisions of the jury and of Lannore
on eligibility, the validity of votes and the result are final and binding
(section 661(2) of the German Civil Code). This does not exclude a review of
whether these rules were followed.

6.5 The prize is awarded to the creator profile that entered the winning film
and is credited to its creator balance. It is paid out under the Creator
Terms, in particular their section 9 (pending period, payout through the payout
provider or by bank transfer, minimum amount). The creator profile is responsible
for sharing the prize with others involved in the film where it has agreed to
do so.

6.6 Prizes are paid in the currency of the fund and cannot be exchanged for
anything else. Winners are responsible for declaring and paying the taxes on
their prize. We withhold taxes where the law requires it and may ask for tax
forms or residence certificates for that purpose.

6.7 We may recover a prize that was awarded on the basis of manipulation,
incorrect information or a breach of these rules, and offset it against the
creator balance.

## 7. Changes and cancellation

7.1 Once entries are open, we do not change these rules or the season rules,
except where the law or an official order requires it or to correct an
obvious error; we publish every such change with its date and reason on the
Award page.

7.2 We may cancel or interrupt a season for good cause, in particular if not
enough eligible films are entered, if manipulation cannot be neutralised, if
the law or an official order requires it, or in the case of force majeure.
Setting deadlines does not waive this right (section 658(2) of the German
Civil Code). If a season is cancelled, no prizes are awarded in the
categories whose results have not been published. We publish the cancellation
and its reason on the Award page. Entrants and voters have no claim to
compensation, unless we cancelled without good cause.

## 8. Liability and law

8.1 Our liability is governed by section 10 of the Terms of Use.

8.2 German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the
International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice does not
deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you
live.

8.3 Questions about the Awards go to contact@agimetis.com.
